This could be one of two things.
1. Make sure to run the PER099 (Refresh Employee's Table) process to update the PS_EMPLOYEES table. If this has been run, and still the EE's name is not being populated, it could be:
2.Deferred Processing is turned on for that page. For release 8.3 and 8.8, PSoft delivered the Paysheet/Payline with Deferred Processing turned on. Upon saving the page, the name should populate correctly. In 8.3 we avoid unnecessary trips to the server and deferred processing is preferred. Since the field does display correctly upon save and there is no "Processing" flash, it looks as though the deferred process is applied. If the customer wants immediate datafill, they can disallow deferred processing on the EMPLID field of the page PAY_SHEET_ADD_S
